week of 8-17-08

Samson enjoyed the Party TOO!

Things were pretty slow this week, not much going on except for Joe's Birthday. Noel started back to school on Wednesday. He's got a pretty full schedule this semester. He's such a sweetie I really miss him. I had a party for Joe on Saturday. His birthday was friday he was 55 yes the speed limit. It's hard to believe Joe is 55 when we met he was just 29 years old. He's sweeter now than he was then and the best husband and father in the world. I love you Joe. It was great seeing everyone they don't get down to our house much. I cooked chicken and Lasagna (the lasagna was for Grandma (my mother-in-law) she never gets stuff like that. Again, I am truly blessed with a wonderful family. Mom, Miss Lilly, Grandma, Grandaddy, Sue, Mickey, Sandra, Mike, Beau, Megan, Braeden and Keaton, and my surprise guests Jarrin and Sidney. Noel couldn't come he had to work and we missed him ALOT. Thanks everyone for coming. I Love you all.

Today, we made a trip to Grandma's and those Sunday trips are always great. Everyone goes to Joe's parents on sunday's, It's a tradition and Bo was cooking in the "Bistro"We had our usual Josue menu, Chicken Wings, Beef Tips, Bay Chips and my new favorite buffalo shrimp. Damon and Carolyn came with their friends John and Jackie, they were a very nice couple. Damon and Carolyn have the nicest friends. I'm enclosing some pictures, Grandma bought a beautiful little smocked dress and bonnet for our new baby girl to come home from the hospital in. It's just beautiful. We rode downtown So. Norfolk, the city is in the process of redoing the Downtown area, It really looks good they are replacing all of the stop lights and redoing the curbing and of course building the new Condo's on the corner (SONO) I'm not a fan of that name. Just South Norfolk for me. I love visiting there, As they said " YOU CAN TAKE THE GIRL OUT OF SOUTH NORFOLK BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE THE SOUTH NORFOLK OUT OF THE GIRL" I'm

proud to say I grew up there. It was a wonderful place to grow up and I have many, many wonderful friends there, and some who have moved away.

IT'S A GIRL!!!

For everyone who didn't know, Joe's oldest Son, Damon and his wife Carolyn are having a BABY!!! and today we found out we're getting what I wanted. We're having a girl, a sweet little baby Josue Girl. I'm very excited. I know Damon is my step-son but I consider him mine, Joe and I got married when he was 7 years old. I love him, and We all love Carolyn too. Our due date was December 25th, but they've backed it up to Jan. 9th. So, here's to our new baby Girl.!!!!! Congratulations Damon and Carolyn. We love you

TRIP TO PETERSBURG

Well, this weekend Joe and I visited the boys in Petersburg, It was Sidney's Birthday and a group of them were going out to eat and invited us. Rob Guidry and his family and friends always make us very comfortable. They are great friends to Jarrin and Noel. We went to eat at Ceasars an Italian Resturant and then went back and stayed at the Boy's house. (which by the way was cleaned by Noel) and he did an excellent job. thank you Noel!!! It was great visiting and seeing everyone especially our guys!! I love you Jarrin and Noel!! We still miss you at home.
